IT-Testmanager / IT-Softwaretester (m/f/d)

Avision GmbH is an IT service provider specializing in software revival for application development and support. As an alternative to complete new implementations, which are often costly and risky, Avision modernizes companies’ legacy software in an efficient way. Our team currently comprises 140 employees – experts with more than 25 years of professional experience, but also young professionals with fresh ideas.

Your tasks

  • Definition of the test strategy as well as selection and adaptation of suitable test methods and tools
  • Support, monitoring, and management of test progress across all test phases, including reporting on test execution
  • Creation of test cases based on existing requirements and design specifications
  • Execution of (automated) component and integration tests, including documentation of test results
  • Identification of defects and deviations, communication with clients, as well as planning and implementation of appropriate measures
  • Performance measurements and analyses
  • Responsibility for the design, execution, and evaluation of functional and technical software tests

Your profile

  • Successfully completed studies in (technical/business) computer science, mathematics, business administration, or vocational training as an IT specialist for application development (m/f/d)
  • Several years of practical experience in software testing, both in the execution of tests and in the management and control of test projects as a test manager
  • (Very) good knowledge of test methods and tools, as well as experience in the selection and adaptation of test strategies
  • Basic knowledge of databases such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or MySQL, as well as Linux
  • Very good German as well as good English skills
  • Strong technical understanding and a high affinity for IT
