Avision and its new subsidiary KIMdata are joining forces to develop hospital management solutions and take hospital efficiency and agility to a whole new level.
KIMdata, a provider of data warehouse solutions for hospital information systems, has found a new home under the Avision umbrella in Oberhaching. As an integrated subsidiary, KIMdata has all the necessary resources, expertise and manpower at its disposal for the further development and sale of its software products. The approximately 130 employees at Avision also ensure that KIMdata solutions are adapted even more agilely to short-term changes in legal requirements. The combination of Avision’s experienced software developers and KIMdata’s many years of market know-how strengthens the position of the data warehouse software, offers hospitals a high level of investment security and enables Avision and KIMdata to provide optimum support for clinics and hospital groups.
With the warehouse solutions, hospitals are able to efficiently consolidate and analyze huge amounts of data from a wide variety of systems. This provides management and controlling with all the necessary information for reports and analyses quickly. For example, the solutions provide precise information on capacity utilization, nursing staff limits, costs and revenues. On this basis, clinics can react more quickly to emergency situations and at the same time uncover optimization potential.
“Combining the strengths of Avision and KIMdata is an important step for our solutions, giving them a significant boost in IT expertise,” emphasizes Manfred Merkelbach, Managing Director of KIMdata. “Together, we can offer flexible and powerful solutions that meet the high demands of the industry and redefine the efficiency of hospital administrations.”
“Together with KIMdata, we will make hospital management much simpler and more productive in the future – an important prerequisite for the highly dynamic healthcare industry,” adds Jürgen Bernert, Managing Director of Avision and KIMdata. “In doing so, we are utilizing the synergies resulting from the merger under the Avision umbrella, where technical expertise meets the necessary manpower and many years of development experience.”
